Anthony Ruys appointed Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau

Amsterdam, 30 September 2005 – Heineken N.V. announced today that it has pleased Her Majesty The Queen of The Netherlands to appoint Anthony Ruys Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau (Officier in de Orde van Oranje-Nassau). 

The insignia of Officer was presented to him by the Dutch Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Dr Cees Veerman, at the Ministry for Agriculture in The Hague this morning.

In April of this year, the retirement of Anthony Ruys as Chairman of the Executive Board was announced and his retirement will be effective as per 1 October 2005.
