Corporate Governance | The Heineken Group endorses the principles of the Dutch Corporate Governance Code of 9 December 2003. The structure of the Heineken Group - and specifically the relationship between Heineken Holding N.V. and Heineken N.V. makes that the application of the Code is different for both entities.
Heineken N.V. applies virtually all best practice provisions. As mentioned above, the structure of the Heineken Group prevents Heineken N.V. from applying a small number of best practice provisions. In a separate enclosure of the annual report over 2004, a detailed overview is given on how Heineken N.V. applies the Dutch Corporate Governance Code: the Comply or Explain report.
