Before working at Heineken Floris spent 18 years with Unilever. He started to work for Unilever in 1987 at the Loders Croklaan Operating Company as head of Sales
Administration and as Cost Accounting Manager. From 1990 to 1992 he was Business Unit Marketing & Supply Chain Accountant in Unilever foods, Netherlands. In 1992 he was appointed Financial Accountant at Unilever Corporate Center in London, United Kingdom. In 1994 Floris moved to New Jersey, USA to become Director Commercial Planning & Analysis for Unilever Foods. In 1998 he became Vice President Finance and Supply Chain Director for Unilever Home and Personal Care in Mexico and in 2001 he became Finance Director for Unilever Personal Care Latin America and Global Vice President Finance Lux, based in Brazil.
