Global reports, statements and more

In the year 2000, HEINEKEN published its first environmental report with external assurance. An update on the environmental performance was published in 2001, followed by a second report in 2002. Two years later, in 2004, we reported on our performance 2002-2003 and announced that from now on we would issue a sustainability report every two years. In 2006 we committed ourselves to report on an annual basis in the future.

Dialogue, commitment and transparency have always formed the foundations of our progress. They are again fundamental in the coming decade.

For reporting on our sustainability performance we have chosen to improve the co-ordination between our online and printed publications. Consequently, a lot of information that remains consistent from year to year (such as policy documents, information on management systems and governance) is no longer published separately in the printed Sustainability Report.
